Hi, ok first off.. This has been one of my fav deviations for the loooongest time. Love the colors, love the type manipulation, the textures, Everything.
That said.... I tried making it myself, well not EXACTLY the same thing, but I did basically do the same concept and color swatch.
It's for school, I hope you don't mind.
I did do everything from scratch.. which half way through proved to be an ambitious idea of mine cause i was seriously getting a headache trying to figure out how to do this.

hello again, i don't know if you've ever heard of the designer Scott Hansen. He goes under the design name ISO50, and the musical name Tycho, and you two have some similar design tastes.

ISO50 is where I got my start in "serious" graphic design (not making winamp or trillian skins). I actually got to meet him and he's a slick dude. Figured if I were to be great at designing that I may as well try and copy the best! Hahah

it's odd how there are such similar people in the world.

i've been into BOC for a good 4 or 5 years or so, and heard of Tycho (ISO50's music name) throught BOC. Then once I saw the ISO50 side of Tycho, it really got me going into graphic design. So I guess I could say that ISO50 has brought me to a more "serious" level as well.

I look forward to seeing more of your work overtime, I just started my graphic design degree, so I'm sure there will be more ISO50-esque designs from my end as well.
